Project Overview

Desert Marine Diesel was selected by Ashaka Cement, one of Nigeria’s leading cement manufacturers, for an ambitious project – Engine Replacement and Commissioning involving a 30k/h Overhaul. Our team of seasoned engineers was tasked with the responsibility of replacing the engine of their existing machinery and ensuring a successful commissioning.

The primary goal of this project was to enhance the performance and efficiency of Ashaka Cement’s operations by replacing the existing engine with a more robust and reliable system. The project also involved a comprehensive 30k/h overhaul, ensuring the longevity and sustainability of the client’s operations.

Challenges

The project’s complexities were multifaceted, given the nature of the engine replacement, the scale of the overhaul, and the geographical location of the plant. The logistics of safely removing the old engine and installing the new one within the scheduled timeframe posed a significant challenge.

The commissioning of the new engine required meticulous planning and precision, ensuring all components were properly aligned, functioning optimally, and safe to operate. The 30k/h overhaul demanded an in-depth understanding of the plant’s machinery and operations.

Result

Despite these challenges, Desert Marine Diesel delivered the project with remarkable professionalism and precision. The engine replacement was executed seamlessly, and the subsequent commissioning was completed successfully, adhering to the highest industry standards.

The 30k/h overhaul performed by our team significantly increased the efficiency and longevity of Ashaka Cement’s operations. The client was particularly impressed with our team’s technical prowess, professionalism, and dedication to delivering the project within the stipulated timeline.

Through this project, Desert Marine Diesel has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering excellent field services and fostering sustainable and efficient operations in the energy and industrial sectors.
